HIgh Grade: Cudi, Drake and Wale featured in GQ...
We'd like to believe that these three just kick it in laundry rooms all day, as pictured. We're also hoping that Drake is only wearing that horrible jacket because it's "laundry day". In reality we know that it has to be one of his best outfits (think first day of school). I mean, he's in GQ: the male version of Vogue where looks are everything.
Cudder is lookig quite spiffy in his Retro 6's not scheduled for release until Valentine's Day 2010.
Wale always looks the same.

Hot Box likes. Peep the retro and futuristic looks she channels. Gaga falls flat when placed one-on-one with THE BEY and comes off a little Drag-ish. Hot video, nonetheless. This one's a visual roller coaster.

Mr. Stack, are you ready to Hot Box?
We were first exposed to this newfound rapper after his freestyle videos popped up all over the web:
First reaction? He's not like his brother...he's his own artist, in his own lane. If you clicked 'play' expecting to see a clone of Stack Bundles, spitting recycled Bundles bars, you've got the wrong guy. He's different...in a good way. He has his own identity, which will keep him out of his brother's shadow. We want to see Yung Stack become his own artist...and it looks like he has. So far so good...

Overall? Two thumbs up...for Stack Bundles fans, finding out that he has a younger brother that also raps is promising. Stack Bundles' death was one of the biggest letdowns that NY has experienced. Yung Stack is guaranteed to keep loyal Stack fans on the edge of their seats...

This next clip is the epitome of NY rap...Every New Yorker knows that every night (except Sunday) is Funk Master Flex night. Long rides from borrough to borrough throughout the night are only complete with Flex's bombs accentin' the moves...Stack made it there...
Stack continued to stun listeners with his mesmerising flow, fascinating imagery and relentless delivery. From then on, the only direction he went in was UP. Then came the tours, recording sessions, the photo shoots, interviews, trips, more money, girls, cars, shows...the fame. Success.
Even made it to the "Fly High" video shoot....
Stack was on his way...and he made it further than any other Far Rockaway star. Sadly, he was gunned down in the early morning hours on June 11, 2007 in the lobby of the Red Fern apartment complex he lived in. Stack was 24.
There's a lot of Stack's tracks circulating out there. New material surfaces on what seems to be a daily basis. The list is wayyy too long for us to even begin to list. Almost all of his mixtapes are available on DatPiff...some singles are on iTunes...freestyles are all over YouTube...Lil' Wayne has a track on his recently released No Ceilings mixtape that features a song titled "I'll Holla-Stack Bundles Tribute"...Fabolous, Joe Budden, Jim Jones, Max B., Lupe Fiasco, Jr Writer and a host of others have also put their love for the late Stack on vinyl.

Flashback: Buffie the Body vs. Charlamagne the God
In this "gem", Buffie the Body accuses Charlamagne The God (recently fired from Philly's The Beat 100.3 for his interview with Beanie Sigel: story here via Bossip) of being a "HATE-RRRR". Little did Buffie know, she would soon eat her words. These days Buffie is no where to be found while Charlamagne is riding out the Twitter fame wave with his right hand man Lil' Duval.
And did Buffie fess up that her booty is fake??? We seem to think so...Charlamagne had a point....

Joe Budden is the type of dude that can NEVER be single...just won't happen. Weeks after ending things with Tahiry in a very public manner, he wifes up the Latin Myspace Music artist Somaya Reece. The two engaged in occasional Twitter flirtation before acting out in FULL BLOWN RELATIONSHIP behavior. In the below video clip, Joey explains:

Next to Blow? Waka Flocka Flame...
Yeah, thats his name. Mr. Waka Flocka Flame aka LeBron Flocka James, are you ready to Hot Box?
Born Juaquin James Malphurs, the artist is suprisingly a Jamaica, Queens native. He and his family re-located to Riverdale, Georgia when he was nine years old. Ten years later, his fate was sealed when he signed the dotted line with So Icey. Gucci Mane coined the name Waka, short for Juaquin, and Flocka, a variation of the Spanish term "flaca" meaning thin, skinny or dragon. The So Icey Entertainment artist is the protege of the Gucci Mane, himself and the rest is history...
Let's spark this Waka and see what it'll do. In the below video we see Mr. Flocka in what looks like an impromptu post-show interview:

Munchies: Who is MGMT??
Fellow Cudi fans have probably heard the name "MGMT" thrown around in recent months. MGMT is a Brooklyn-based Columbia records duo that garnered attention with their most successful single, "Electric Feel":
MGMT provided vocals for Kid Cudi's "Pursuit of Happiness" off the Man on the Moon: The End of Day album. They were also rumored to be placed on the final edit of the Blueprint 3, but ended up not making the cut.
Either way, they've caught the Box's attention. They also recieved a nod from Jim Jones Capo, himself. Jimmy included a remix of "Electric Feel" on his Jockin' Jim Jones mixtape

The track entitled "Off The Muscle", provided by WorldStar, is a little something that Fox decided to bless us with. She adresses Lil' Kim's recent Dancing With the Stars venture:
Bottom line? Kim's decision to participate in the show was RESPECTABLE but weak. Who really wants to see legendary rappers Mambo? If BIG was alive would he have done it?
Fox's feeble attempts at a verbal dropkick came short...after a few chuckles, Hot Box is over it *yawns*. Forgettable. At the end of the day, Kim is still Foxtrotting all the way TO THE BANK. Come harder Fox...

Music video producer Anthony Mandler, who is behind both "Run This Town" and "D.O.A", spilled the beans earlier this week regarding the release of Jay's next single via his twitter.

Let's jump right in. Jay Electronica, signed to Erykah Badu's Control Freaq Records, is best described as Hip Hop's ballon boy:

With the stale mass produced lunchmeat-style "music" that is being circulated these days, Jay Elect is nothing short of a breath of fresh air. Forward music. Intruiging, to say the least. The New Orleans native is often hard to pinpoint; providing his fans with "secret shows" and scattered myspace pages that tend to disappear and re-appear at his will. He is the Johnny Depp of rap...listen:
Jay is the musical equivalent of Scandanavian Caviar; it's an acquired taste. I leave you with this...the man himself making an appearance at a secret location performing his "Exhibit C" (via MissInfo).
Did I forget to mention that he is the father to Badu's Mars Merkaba, born on February 1, 2009? That, in itself, shoots him into the clouds with the likes of Andre 3000 and Common.
I think we might have something here. This guy is pushing music to new heights. Can he go any higher? Follow him @JayElectronica. Watch out for the, bunny holes, the Mad Hatter and Oompa Loompas...

Cloud-Niners: Juelz & Kim
Juelz Santana decided to publicly "wife" buzzing Miami-based model Kimbella on her birthday.
He first tweeted a simple "A! Happy Birthday Baby ;-)", leaving his #1 fans and gossip bloggers to speculate which "baby" he was referring to. Minutes later, he added the "@Kimbellasworld" and she predictably re-tweeted.
